Desolate Zone runs on ad revenue alone. Without it this site simply stops existing.

The server itself costs around 200 PLN a month - and that is just the bill that arrives every month no matter what.

Behind the rest is the work of the whole team: moderating places and photos, verifying reports, the map, galleries, rankings and constant development of new features. We do it after hours, but hosting, the domain and the tools do not pay for themselves.

Would rather not see ads at all? The top 25 of the monthly ranking have them switched off - just keep contributing places and photos.
